Press Release Summary = On 7 February 2007 Altran, the European leader in high technology and innovation consulting, will hold an event in Brussels to present its research and innovation capacities in key industry sectors.
Press Release Body = On 7 February 2007 Altran, the European leader in high technology and innovation consulting, will hold an event in Brussels to present its research and innovation capacities in key industry sectors including energy, transport, space, security and Information and Communication Technologies, as well as exploring the possibility of R&D collaborations under the current Framework Programme for Research and Development (FP7) of the European Union.
The Altran Innovation Conference will bring together industry representatives, researchers, scientists, policy and decision makers, and Altran experts to discuss innovative solutions and ideas in Europe, with a special focus on the identification of potential research partnerships. The conference will be opened by Mr. Yves de Chaisemartin, Chief Executive Officer of Altran together with Mrs. Nathalie Griesbeck, MEP and Dr. Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, MEP. Main speakers of the conference include European Commission Officials from the Directorates General of Energy, Transport, Research, Competitiveness and Innovation, Members of the European Parliament including Ms. Erika Mann who will present the research priorities of the German Council presidency, Council representatives, Mr. Chad Evans, Policy advisor of the US competitiveness Council, as well as representatives from the industrial sector and Altran consultants from Arthur D. Little, Cambridge Consultants, Hilson Moran, Solvay, etc. The conference will involve four parallel workshops in each of the aforementioned sectors. The Energy Workshop will focus primarily on energy efficiency, renewable energy, nuclear energy and power generation. The Transport Workshop will involve aeronautics and air transport, clean and sustainable surface transport. The joint Space and Security Workshop will consist mostly of space science and technology, Communications and technology watch. The last workshop, on Innovation, will cover innovation in Information and Communication Technologies, intellectual property rights and innovation management.
